City Minster (Westbourne Park)
City Minster is a pioneering community based in Westbourne Park, London.It all began in 2014, and at present is developing two areas;
- A transport chaplaincy at the Westbourne Park Bus Garage. The Bus Chaplaincy engages with employees to confidentially provide support, mediation, and care at their workplaces.
- As of 2016, in partnership with Latimer Minster, the Message Trust have launched a monthly prayer meeting in Westbourne Park called ‘Remnant’. After reading 1 Kings 19, Jamie Sewell, the Message Trust hub leader felt God whisper, ‘Gather the remnant in London and pray for a mighty revival.’ Remnant takes place on the first Saturday of the month in a boxing gym to remind us of the battle that’s going on in our city and the importance of prayer as a key to change.
In the shadow of the iconic building that is Erno Goldfinger’s Trellick Tower, in partnership with Latimer Minster, The Message Trust are also planning a 2017 Eden Bus and creative arts mission in Golborne area with the hope of developing a praying, worshiping and creative arts community team in partnership with Eden joineden.org/
If you have a heart for urban youth or have a desire to pray, we would love you to be involved. Email Theresa Williams or Jamie Sewell at firstname.lastname@example.org or look on www.message.org.uk for more info.
