Chris joined the team in summer 2019, as Associate Vicar, covering Tash’s maternity leave. Prior to joining the Minster, Chris was a curate at St James, Gerrards Cross & Fulmer.
Chris studied Theology and Ministry at St Mellitus College, then gained his BA and was ordained in 2015. He also holds an MA in Social and Political Sciences and a PGCE in Primary Education, both from the University of Cambridge. Prior to entering full-time ministry, Chris spent 3 years teaching at a West London community school, where he met his wife, Charlotte.
Chris and Charlotte have 4 children: Judah, Liberty, Miriam and Nathan. Between them they provide plenty of fun and laughter. Chris enjoys sport, particularly cricket, running and squash. He also loves playing guitar, singing, and photography. But most of all, Chris is passionate about seeing people ‘set on fire with love for God’; and playing his part in facilitating that.
Chris is on the Minster Leadership Team (MLT) which was commissioned in January 2020, with the mandate to ‘set and track the spiritual and strategic direction of the church’. The MLT consists of four staff, and six non-staff church family members, all of whom are deeply committed to doing whatever they can to help our church to thrive as a place of encounter with God, discipleship, and mission.
