Cherry Picking

Dear Minster and Friends,

The summer continues! It should be a scorcher this weekend at Latimer Minster, almost certainly we will have the side flaps down for a wonderful celebration together, which will have the great groups for all the children as well as the dedication of Leo Jackson in the earlier part of the service.

And it is with great delight that I can tell you that the cherries are ripe and we would love them to be picked and eaten. If you want to arrive early or stay a bit later on Sunday then please go for it. It works best of you can bring a small shopping bag or punnet. We have a few ladders, but if you have even a small stepladder and would like to cherry pick then please please do!

Every fruit season reminds me of the kindness of God, and the promises that go alongside following the Lord:

“If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭26:3-5 NIV‬‬

With much love,

Frog
