Meet Frog Orr-Ewing

Pastor & Rector of Latimer Minster

The Rev Canon Dr Frog (Francis) Orr-Ewing is a Poet, Conservationist and Priest. He was ordained in July 2000 in Oxford Cathedral and served his curacy at St Aldate’s Church Oxford.

He became Vicar of All Saints Peckham in 2003 where the church experienced exponential growth amidst all the challenges of inner city ministry. In 2010 he was invited by the Bishop of Buckingham to plant Latimer Minster and he and the family moved to Beaconsfield on a faith venture with a team of 8. Frog has a long history in theology teaching and training ordinands and other clergy at St Paul’s Theological Centre, Wycliffe Hall and OCCA, The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.

He is currently a Fellow in Mission at Winchester University where he teaches the MA in Mission and is the Canon Theologian at Winchester Cathedral.

Frog holds a PTO in the Diocese of Oxford. His Undergraduate and Masters in Theology are from the University of Oxford and his Doctorate is from Kings College London.

Frog is a passionate conservationist and his vision and energy in Creation Care have been commended by A Rocha. He is also an accomplished painter and has exhibited his art work in various galleries and he is a poet with a keen eye for detail. 

Frog is a trauma survivor and as such is a pastor to many. He has spent many years becoming trauma informed and brings a unique blend of compassion, insight and wisdom to his work. He is a creative and compelling preacher and evangelist and is invited to speak and minister all over the country and further afield.
